PKU Shenzhen Graduate School & Chipsbank Computing-in-Memory Joint Laboratory Annual Meeting Successfully Held

On the afternoon of June 8, 2026, the Annual Meeting of the Computing-in-Memory Joint Laboratory between Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Shenzhen Chipsbank Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully held。

The meeting was chaired by Professor Yang Yuchao, Dean of the SECEat PKU Shenzhen Graduate Schooland Director of the Joint Laboratory. The purpose of the meeting was to review the collaborative achievements of the past year, deepen research and application of computing-in-memory technology, and continue promoting deep integration between industry, academia, and research. The meeting brought together experts and scholars from both Peking University and Chipsbank, including Mr. Zhang Hualong, Chairman of Shenzhen Chipsbank Technology Co., Ltd.; Mr. Li Huawei, Director and Vice President; Mr. Xie Changhua, Chief Technology Officer; as well as Jiao Hailong, Assistant Dean and Tenured Associate Professor of the SECEat PKU Shenzhen Graduate School; Researcher Chen Hongyu; and Assistant Professor Tang Chenyu.

As the demand for energy-efficient computing power continues to grow in the information technology sector, computing-in-memory technology—a key pathway to overcoming the bottleneck of the traditional von Neumann architecture—has drawn increasing attention for its industrialization prospects. Leveraging the joint laboratory platform, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Chipsbank have continued to integrate complementary resources, achieving solid progress in both cutting-edge technology research and industrial application transformation. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Yang Yuchao briefly reviewed the laboratory's overall operations over the past year and outlined the key priorities for the upcoming year. Subsequently, doctoral student Wang Bowen delivered a technical report on behalf of the research team.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the joint laboratory's achievements over the past year and its future plans. Mr. Zhang Hualong, Chairman of Chipsbank, expressed positive recognition of the laboratory's progress in computing-in-memory and storage technologies, and affirmed that Chipsbank will continue to work closely with PKU Shenzhen Graduate School to advance the industrial application of cutting-edge technologies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Yang Yuchao summarized the annual achievements and outlined the research tasks for the next phase. He emphasized that the joint laboratory will continue to deepen collaborative innovation with Chipsbank, accelerate the industrial translation of research outcomes, and make greater contributions to the development of computing-in-memory technology.

The successful convening of this annual meeting marks a further deepening and consolidation of the collaboration between Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Chipsbank in the field of computing-in-memory technology. Looking ahead, both parties will continue to leverage their respective strengths, join forces to tackle core technological challenges, and jointly promote the large-scale application of computing-in-memory technology, contributing enduringly to the advancement of China's computing-in-memory technology and information industry.
