Gao Wen, male, was born in 1956 in Dalian, Liaoning Province. Received his Ph.D at University of Tokyo, Japan. He is a science professor and Director of Digital Video Codec in the National Engineering Laboratory, Director of the Digital Media Center in the School of Computer Engineering at Peking University. Professor Gao Wen was elected IEEE Fellow in 2008, and in 2011, elected to the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
