Yuchao Yang is a Boya Distinguished Professor at Peking University. He serves as Dean for School of Electronic and Computer Engineering, and Deputy Dean for School of AI for Science. His research interests include neuromorphic computing, in-memory computing chip design and brain-computer interface. He has published over 180 papers in high-profile journals and conferences such as Nature Electronics, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Reviews Materials, Science Advances, IEDM, ISSCC etc. as well as 5 book chapters. His works have been cited by >17000 times with H-index of 58. He was invited to give >80 keynote/invited talks on international conferences and serves as TPC chair or member for >10 international conferences. Yuchao Yang serves as Associate Editor for npj Unconventional Computing and Microelectronic Engineering, and editorial board member of National Science Review, Chip, etc. He is a recipient of the New Cornerstone Investigator, the Explorer Prize, National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, Qiu Shi Outstanding Young Scholar Award, Wiley Young Researcher Award, MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 in China, and Outstanding Achievement Award in Scientific Research (Youth Science Award) of the Ministry of Education. He was recognized as Highly Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier from 2020 to 2025.
