LI Qian, Ph.D., Tenured professor at Peking University,PhD supervisor, the vice dean of the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering at Peking University, a high-level young talent in Guangdong Province, a Class B talent under the Shenzhen Peacock Plan, and an excellent teacher in Shenzhen. She received her bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University (supervisor: Professor Chen Kangsheng, former dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Zhejiang University), master's degree in Optoelectronics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) (supervisor: Lars Thylen, director of the Photonics Research Center), and PhD degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (supervisor: Professor P. K. A. Wai, President of the Hong Kong Baptist University, former Deputy President and Provost of the the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, IEEE Fellow, Optica Fellow). She is a visiting scholar at the University of Washington (Seattle) (supervisor: J. Nathan Kutz, Director, AI Institute in Dynamic Systems, Boeing Professor of AI and Data-Driven Engineering) and a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2012, she joined Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School as AssistantProfessor and has led more than ten projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Province, Shenzhen-Hong Kong Joint Research Program, and ShenzhenMunicipal Key Projects. She is also the task leader of the National Key R&D Program. Her main research directions include ultrafast lasers, silicon photonic chips, and epsilon near-zero photonics. She has authored an invited technical review paper in Nature in 2022 (corresponding author). She has published over 100 papers in journals such as Nature Communications, Laser & Photonics Reviews, and Photonics Research, and over 100 papers at international conferences such as CLEO. She is an invited speaker at leading international conferences like OFC and ECOC. She serves as an associate editor for Photonic and Quantum Waves and is a member of several technical committees for international conferences. She is a Senior Member of Optica and has been the advisor for the Optica student branch at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School since 2015. She is also a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and served as the Vice Chairman of the IEEE Electron Devices and Solid-State Circuits (ED/SSC) Beijing Section (Shenzhen) Chapter and the Chairman of EDS from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, she has been the advisor for the IEEE Photonic Society Student Branch Chapter at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School.
