Peking University and Shenzhen Municipal Government signed a document in January 2001, entitled the "Cooperation agreement concerning the establishment of Peking University Shenzhen Campus". Then, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School was established through the cooperation of Peking University and the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
